Samuel Eto’o, FIFA Delegates, and GFA Visit Klala at His Teshie Home in Accra, Ghana

Cameroonian football legend Samuel Eto’o has given his official endorsement to musician Klala’s World Cup anthem for the Black Stars, titled ‘We are Ghana’.

During his three-day visit to Ghana as a FIFA 2022 World Cup ambassador, Eto’o visited Klala at his studio in Teshie on Thursday. The visit was aimed at experiencing the song that Klala created for the Ghana national football team for the World Cup in Qatar.

“I had the chance to showcase the song to Eto’o, and it was a great experience for him to witness the creative process behind it,” said Klala. “He was truly moved by the song, and his love for it is sincere. Eto’o told me that the song really resonated with him, and he even asked me to create a similar anthem for the Cameroon national team for the World Cup.”

Klala expressed gratitude for Eto’o’s visit, describing it as a privilege and stating that the Cameroonian legend now considers him a brother.

The musician also took a moment to thank key figures such as Henry Asante, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communications Director, GFA President Kurt Okraku, and the Aworrshiaa Movement for their support in bringing the song to life. He revealed that he is set to travel to Qatar in November to be part of the excitement surrounding the World Cup.
